Clearing out this quiet space we used to call our own
emptying out these memories and burning them alone.
Void caller speaks louder now, death becomes new home
words seem to fail me now, they never have before
It no longer matters, fate knocking on the door.
Hand grows from the black, tells me to come back
reaching for the door, resisting his allure
cold air fills the room, feels of certain doom
hypnotic gaze awakens, entire body feels shaken
the world feels much smaller in the wake of the void caller.
Do I follow this messenger of fate?
Do I grasp this hand of banished light?
nothing is so certain as of late
the unknown grows tempting and I might.
Oppressive darkness envelops my form
holding me back from a righteous path
the pressure consumes all I know
will I ever feel the same again?
All seems hopeless
no reason to hold on
everything the same on the surface
